The course and the official SAFE test are separate steps. Here’s what to know.
Official NMLS test informationNo. These are prelicensing education courses. Register and pay for the official SAFE MLO test separately through NMLS. Education enrollment does not book your exam or include the testing fee.
Some states require state-specific law education or a higher total. Our plan starts with a general 20-hour national course and adds the required state coursework and any additional general hours. We show the state's minimum separately from the course bundle.
State-specific education is coursework, not another state SAFE exam. Check other licensing conditions with your regulator; completing education and passing the national test are only parts of the licensing process.
